Are you feeling that holiday nostalgia for the days or yore? If so … we have prepared a nice little holiday surprise gift for you that might just cover all your urges, with bittersweet synth pop melancholy to boot (not to mention a certain “happy/sad” holiday vibe).
There's a newly published in-depth interview with lead vocalist Mårten Kellerman over at Subsine. It's quite extensive and covers a wide range of topics that span the band's entire career, and is a recommended read for everyone with a keen interest in Statemachine, and lots of time to spare. But unfortunately it's only available in Swedish.
Here's another set of Statemachine photos from The Mobile Homes' 30th anniversary show. Shot on and off stage during soundcheck by photographer Jan Gustavsson these pictures capture the moment the band gets back together on stage for the first time in almost ten years.
Last night, at Swedish synthpop legends The Mobile Homes' 30th anniversary at Debaser in Stockholm, Sweden, Statemachine appeared on stage as secret special guests. Performing a cover of the main attraction's signature single Something Better, this marked the first time Statemachine appeared together on stage in 10 years. And since they performed a newly recorded cover this also marked the first time the band have gone into a studio to record something together since 2003.
As one of the most common fan requests have been access to Statemachine music videos, we're happy to announce that the Statemachine YouTube channel is now live, and both official Statemachine music videos have been added to it. We're looking into remastering both videos for enhanced audio and video quality as well at some point, but for now it's the original versions aired in the 90s.
Welcome to the all-new Statemachine website, consisting solely of ancient Statemachine content so far, but hey … it's a start. We'll definitely be looking to add more content over time, but in order to be able to do that in a somewhat convenient manner we first needed to port the withering old site to something with a bit more modern innards – and we'll take it from there. Drop us a line if you have a request for the site!
On October 13th, 2006, you'll be able to experience no less than four Kellerman bands in one night at club Heimat, Stockholm. Araki (Rasmus Kellerman from Tiger Lou and Las Puertas), Firefox AK (Andrea Kellerman of Las Puertas), Dexter's Moon (Jenny Kellerman & Co), and Statemachine (Mårten Kellerman & The Substitutes).
Now it is finally here, Lowe's hotly anticipated debut album Tenant. Lowe is Leo and Rickard's second band next to Statemachine. Developing on their signature sound of striking instrumentals, catchy melodies and passionate vocals, Lowe has created an album containing 11 fantastic pop songs.
